I took a picture of two similar but different icicle ornaments on a Christmas tree in my house. I didn’t really need to set up my scene since they were already next to each other on the tree. I used close and far to show a little variety in the picture with the icicles. I also used not centering to help make the picture a little more artsy. I also balanced the picture by using two icicles. I chose to take this picture because to a normal person these aren’t two different icicles but these icicles represents Ashley, my twin sister, and me. Ashley and I are two completely different people and that is how it is showing juxtaposition. It makes me see things not only for what they are but also for what they represent. This picture also represents who I am and what my life is because I have a twin. I think that I did well forcing juxtapositions but I don’t think I did as well with the mashups because I got a little confused at a specific point. I also think I did ok with finding natural juxtapositions even though I didn’t think I would do well in the beginning. I don’t think I would change anything about this assignment. All around I thought this was a good assignment.

I am a high school student taking a photography class. Photography is one of my fun classes that I have been really excited to take and I am loving it so far.
